I have an issue with my game (all updates and DLCs) that I hope you good people can help me with
I played the game extensively without any issues on my old laptop. Now I have reinstalled from Steam on my new laptop, and it is not working as it should.
If I play with the standard rules, everything is fine, but if I switch to Rise and Fall or Gathering Storm, several things are not working:
- the city I settle have no name, or indeed any banner showing its population, production etc., only the temple itself is visible. Neither can I see where the citizens are working, nor move them around
- If I click on the "select a research" in the bottom right corner nothing happens (I am not prompted to the research tree as I should be)
- by clicking on the temple I get access to the "choose production" menue, but it looks odd and I can't close this menu again (it remains open even when clicking the X)
- the minimap looks all wrong (only a grey field)
- the HUD ribbon also look very weird, and not at all like it should be
The game itself runs smoothly, and I can move my units around, encounter city states etc. (with mechanics working as usual)
Does anyone have any experience with this? I have browsed this forum, but haven't seen anything like it
