Game on

Right, off we go..ill contact all of you to tell you what place you are in the line.. and will also email you all when i start the game so you will know roughly how long you will hav to wait.. try to do you move as fast as possible. Hugs to the last person on the list.. soz..:) It is 10.15am monday morning here and will make a start on the game at 6 pm tonight.. ILL have to wait on the start untill Digger emails me. he forgot to give me his Email in PM.. so i Emailed him though the server which you all know don't give you pps Email addys.. so im waitin on him..:) so its when i get his Email..

In one hour or so, Im beginning the game.. I hope you all stick to this, for the benefit of the others.. you have agreed to play PBEM that means all the way. im hoping that we all become good freinds and later on we can start up another game togeather with two more people and have more laughts. i have been looking forward to playing agaisnt other humans instead of stupid cheatin AI for a long time and im hope you guys have to. remeber this is only a game. MY WISDOW BE WITH YOU ALWAYS
 
OK, got the game played it and sent it on to prettyvacant. One thing however, it is cheiftan level. I don't think anybody mentioned otherwise what level we were playing, so I hope that is OK with everybody, otherwise I'll have to play the first turn again.

Its on Monarch.... and its to late to do ya turn again.. you guys offer no ideas so i chose for you..and it doesn't really matter what level it is .because the levels are their for the AI . If you keep and eye on your cities nothing should go wrong.
 
OK, the game is being sent around in cheiftan mode. Since there is AI players it could be an advantage to those close to the AI.

There is a way to change it after everybody has played there 1st turn. To change the difficulty Ishtari needs to do the following:

EDIT:at least in version 1.14 anyway!

Make sure you are not connected to the internet. Instead of selecting load game from the main menu, select the multiplayer menu, then select host. If you are offline you should have a screen that allows you to;

select difficulty (down the bottom of the screen, I would pick Monarch or Emperor, but thats up to Ishtari)
select game type (up the top, so select Play by Email) and then,
select game mode, (select the option to load game), it then gives you a prompt to select the sav file, select the file sent to you by Isildurs Heir since he will be the last player of the 1st turn.

This will load up the game, I notice some of the fonts get scrambled on the player list (ignore that), click on the Launch button. It should load up Ishtaris 2nd turn at the difficulty level she has set. From then on people can load the game as normal. IT should say the level when you load it.

You will notice a change in difficulty by an increase in the turns to research stuff. The scores will reflect the chaneg in difficulty after everybody has played the 2nd turn.

Hopes this makes sense to everybody.

PS My vote is for Emperor if that helps you decide Ishy:p, even though I hav'nt won at that level yet:king:
 
The difficulty will affect us as follows:

Number of citizens allowed in city before unhappiness
Turns to reserch stuff is longer on higher levels,

I think there might be corruption influences as well.
I think trading with AI may also be affected
 
Also barbarians. You don't get any bonus going against them on regent/monarch and above. The AI will be more aggressive ;) and they will trade more.
 
1. The game has moved on from me (to Sashadin) and an email is going round with everyone's email adresses.

2. I am not sure I know enough to comment competently but I wouldve thought that on less than emperor the two players next to the two AI civs will have a distinct advantage (take over ready made towns with developed countryside, get GLs etc.) On the other hand its nice to have content peeps with no effort! Up to you Ishy.
 
RIGHT..... To start of...Wildfire do think im stupid??.. anoyed at you being here..

somehow its not what i put.. :P therefore ill start again. ill write down everything and put in everybodys Email.. no surpriz..
 
I put it on monarch to even it out but as you want Emperor so be it. and i wont put AI in as you think it would help others that are next to them. and thanx for pointing it out that it was on cheftain..
the new game will be "Ishtari PBEM Act 2,
 
Wildfire plz don't use that tone with me. i've had two drop out already and had to chase them up with no sucess. trying to get this game on the road, and keeping everyone happy is a feat in it self. this is my frist time at starting a PBEM. and i don't need someone whos not part of this, putting their two cents in. your just spamming.
 
right.. :) this time. i even put it to paper. Digger you have the new Game. i have Email you all, with the stats.
 
Again, I was just stating that the barbarians would change along with the other things that digger pointed out. I didnt do that to "chase away players" and I usually watch every PBEM because they sometimes are great fun to read.

Of course than, some aren't.
