New to forum, so pardon me if I'm on the wrong sub-forum. I tried looking for similar questions but could find none.
OK, to the problem at hand:
I experience no problems whatsoever in normal gameplay, but as soon as I load a Save Game, my computer reboots. I've tried loading several Save Games, but they all make the game reboot.
OK, what is interesting is that I CAN load a Save Game and even finish my turn, as long as I don't press the End Turn button. The game always reboots at the same time, during the interval between two turns.
Needless to say, this kind of a problem with Save Games poses a severe problem to continuity - I can't complete the game in one sitting!
I've updated my Civ IV to 1.09, but I haven't tried the new patch, because I hear it can actually make freezes/crashes/reboots more frequent. My computer should be well up to the task of running Civ IV even with High graphics, although I did try Medium and Low graphics as soon as I encountered my problem.
