Hi all.
I saw some confusion in another thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=413354&page=9) about how the Hof Score is calculated from the in game score. A few months ago I wondered the same thing and after a while I came up with this:
View attachment HoF Score Calculator.zip
It is a calculator to convert the score shown in the victory menu to the score shown in the end game screen, the one used by the HoF for this forum. The in game HoF uses some other system that I have not bothered to check.
I have completed numerous tests on it and it has produced 100% accurate results. The only thing unchecked is what I have classed as the 1st interval, games that complete within the first 1% of possible turns (3 turns for a quick game!).
How it works:
Divide the maximum number of possible turns by 100 and do not ignore remainders. This is the amount of turns per interval in the game. All you do then is count how many intervals your last turn has reached. Divide 100 by this interval number to get a multiplier. Use it on the in game score and ignore remainders. Job done!
Worked Example from the thread mentioned above (poster Bahaus):
Speed=Quick, end turn=153, in game score = 1267
Max turns for quick is 330.
330/100 = 3.3 turns per interval.
Turn 153 falls into the 46th interval.
1267*100/46=2754 (rounded down).
2754 will be the score shown in the HoF.
See how you get on with it.
Two versions are attached in the zip. One made in excel 2010 and the other converted to, apparently, run on 97-2003. I think the 2010 may work on 2007 as well.

Let me know if you find it useful, I did
