Game will not load

A few weeks ago my game suddenly stopped working. I tried reinstalling but it still failed to load. I get the egg-timer for a split second and then nothing.

I've installed on my sisters PC and it works fine, and I noticed that I'm missing an entire directory on my computer.

The directory is C:\documentsandsettings\rob\mydocuments\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4

This is where the civ4config file is stored among other files.

Can anyone tell why the hell this is happening???

Yes. That directory is created automatically when you first start the game. What you could do is, create those folders, take the CivilizationIV.ini from your sister's PC, add this line:
LoggingEnabled = 1

Now you can experiment with various other ini file options. Also, you can post here the init.log file (which will be created when you try to run the game).
