game won't run...........it's like this

hi there. im miguel. just new here. i recently bought a copy of civ4 and i installed it...i followed instructions and that....but when i was about to run it.....it said "it cannot locate dvd-rom, restart application, and press ok..." what does this mean? is there something missing? crack didnt come with, i know...but wat is really the problem???

You have to leave "Disk 1" in the DVD or CDROM drive while starting the game. If you have more than one such drive, put it in the one used to install the game. The installation source drive letter is stored as part of the configuration data.

The discs are likely to have V1 on them- make sure you download the V1.52 Patch, or its likely you will have issues once you got it running
