GameDrive?

Has anyone successfully created an image of the play disk for use with GameDrive? I've been unable to create an image and don't know if Civ4 shipped with a new form of encription or if there is another problem.

before i answer that, may i ask why you would do that in the 1st place? if not PIRACY? eep! who would steal this game

To keep from scratching the original going in and out of the drive, or that un-lined cardboard envelope the game disks came in...

Or, simply to be able to sit down and play without having to put in the disk...

There are other, non-piratical reasons for wanting to do this... Don't automatically assume the worst...

And, no, I haven't tried it yet...

As Fallblau pointed out, there are many reasons for doing so, including not wearing out a CD, simplicity of not having to exchange disks, etc. If you are truly a Civ aficionado, you should be well aware of the number of hours that poor disk spins in the average addict's computer. For my part, I use GameDrive mainly because I am on the road quite a bit and don’t like to carry myriad computer disks while I travel.

I might also add that before you question someone’s integrity over a $40 game, you might do the basic research to answer your own accusation. Might I suggest you google “GameDrive” and read the manufacturers ideas on why people buy their product?

Now. Does anyone have an intelligent answer to my question? I really thought this forum might be useful, but perhaps I was mistaken…

i didnt assume, i really wanted to know. and yes i do know how. but if your gonna be like that you can GOOGLE it yourself.

I don't use GameDrive, but I'm using Alcohol 120% successfully.

me? mature? look whos talking. i was being sarcastic, nowhere did i say you were pirating this game. if you want to know how to do it. PM me. im not posting how to do it on here, since i KNOW there are people on here who would love to know how to do it and dont own the game. im sorry you took my post as an insult or accusation, it was not intended to be. you however have been intentionally insulting, as for being immature, im offering you help regardless. take that how you will
