Hi all!
I have a problem while loading saved game (latest Rhye's and Fall of Civilization (RFC) mod) - the map is huge and it contains ca. 20-30 civilziations. Yesterday, during one session I played ca. 150 turns (got into renaissance era) and in-game loads went just fine.
edit: I play on latetst BtS 3.19 - the game was installed as Civ4 Complete (BtS was 3.13 there).

Today, I hoped to continue playing but after loading mod and choosing to load game, game starts the process, but when it should finish loading and bring me to the world map (on the progress bar it's written 'Finishing' and the bar is full) game crashes, exits with no pop-up and I am on my desktop as if nothing has happened.

I tried to load 'less advanced' saves and:

- the game saved 3 turns after the beginning loaded but some graphics were not displayed (flags attached to my units had no logo and wrong colour), and instead of some of my units only small, pink fluorescent blop was displayed in the place where it stood on the map (blop, I mean a half of the ball laying on the ground)

- the game saved after 15 turns loads but the world map is scarcely displayed, when I move the camera some streams of dashes starting from many points and literally expanding into space are shown (just like here http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j93/acwilderwick/civ4.png - borrowed from similiar thread), succesfully making it unable to see what's going on. I must note also that I experienced the same problems (those goddamn dashes) on attempts to play graphically more demanding games (Empire Total War and Victoria 2).
(well now as I'm describing it I'm thinking maybe it's my graphic card being unable to display advanced 3D? But still why it has not occured while I was playing for the first time, but after restart of the mod?)

I have old Acer Aspire 5672 notebook
Intel Core Due 1.66 Ghz
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon mobility X1400 (128MB, but up to 512 on hyper memory)
The motherboard was replaced because the previous one got burned due to the overheating issue. Oh, and I have the latest drivers.

I tried some tweaks, downloaded Omega drivers, edited boot.ini to allow 3GB RAM, increased virtual memory, lowered graphics to minimum, but it all didn't worked

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, Pawel

I believe RFC does put a lot of load on the machine and one like yours even more so. I have core i7 with 6GB and a HD 4870 512 and my game (in my Sig) is hitting the limits occasionally.

However, that being said it may pay to post your question in RFC's dedicated forum.
