'Genghis' not 'Ghengis'

Title says it all. There need not be any reply to this. There is just this epdemic of misspelling Genghis lately that no doubt is because everyone copies the erroneous spelling from the previous poster. Just thought I would correct it.

its a translation of mongolian.. whatever sound it translates is probably very different from the original anyways.

i can spell 'Genghis' like 'Renthis' and still be half-right.

So Ghengis, Genghiz, and otehrs are all reasonable.

The Mongol spelling is Чингис Хаан. I'm actually not sure how English speakers usually pronounce Genghis (or Ghengis, for that matter), but from my knowledge of English phonology, neither would be too "correct".

The accepted English spelling is Genghis, yeah, but pronunciation wise, well...

In Mongolia, where "Genghis" khan is still popular, the name on billboards and such is Chingiz. And on the history channel, where i saw this, they strickly referred to him as Chingiz.
