Hi,

My second unit is the German Freikorps (Volunteer Chorps).

Freikorps.JPG

These units were formed by German civilians to fight against Napoleon after his defeat in Leipzig. These troops were lead by some of the best Prussian officers and very motivated, cause they were all volunteers. The big differance between the freikorps and the regular Prussian army, was that the Freikorps fought for the dream of a free unified Germany, while the other army fought for the might and glory of the king. After the victory over Napolean, the Freikorps were disband. But many of their members keeped their values. Their spirit was the base of the later unification movement.

Schaut sehr gut aus. Die Uniform erinnert mich an die eines Bergknappen im Salzkammergut.
(Looks very good. The uniform reminds me of the traditional clothes of miners from the Salzkammergut)

Servus, saubere Arbeit! Könntest du evtl auch originalgetreue Wehrmachtsinfantrie gestalten? Wäre klasse und würd mich freuen. Für die schönen 2.WK Mods halt..

Vielen Dank!

Thanx for the support!

@Iuvavus: Ich dachte zuerst an Schornsteinfeger...:mischief:

@Ploeperpengel: no that's not a Schützenverein (shooters club). We need a Bierzelt (beer tent) first! ;)

@Hardner: I can only reskin, but I will try it with the Infantry
Ich can nur reskinnen, aber ich werde es mit der Infanterie versuchen.

Oh, and I think you spell that Deutsch, even though it's pronounced Doitch.

Stupid question time:

For installation I just take the normal rifleman art folder pop it into custom assets and name it Bob or something then throw the .dds files of teh freikorps into the folder and make sure the art.xml points to that folder. Is that correct?

(i've had a frustrating night with installations last night so I'm trying to check my logic)

The xml just says were the nif is. The nif picks picks the dds in the same folder. So if you just want to use it as a replacement for the rifleman graphics, you can use it as a mini mod. If you rename the folder, I suppose that you have to put the nif in that folder.

If the rightnamed dds and the nif is in the same folder (or the folderstructure is unchanged) and the art def unit.xml points to the nif in that folder, everything should work.
