I am new a the forum and I am trying to figure out how to make the largest world map possible in MGE. I like those long drawn out games and would like to see the world more accurate in regards to space. Any suggestions?

The giga maps are really great but there's still the problem of the 250 city limit!

Did Julius Brenzaida fix that too?

Does any one know of a Gigantic map other than Julius Brenzaida's Gigaworld. I don't too much need Anarctica in my world but just something BIG!

A 250 limit?

Dammit, I never knew about that! Not that I've ever come close to 250 cities. It's just nice not be be restricted...

Well it took me most of the damned day but I finally got it right. I created an Alefgard map. Alefgard is where the NES/GB RPG Dragon Warrior takes place. I used the utility Map Edit by Jorrit Vermeiren turn a bmp into a .mp. Unfortunately I had to first squish down a huge .jpg to do this and it took me most of the day to get the godsforsaken palette correct! Also Map Edit does not allow for a map bigger than 10922 in total area whereas I wanted a map that would be 15376 in area, but it's definetly better than doing it all by hand. Any way here is what it looks like and hopefully Thunderfall will add it to the maps section. By the way the Map is 104x104 and Flat World

Ooops forgot some info. The map doesn't seem to work with 2.42 or FW but it does work with MGE no limits and ToT 1.1. Also I upped a copy to my ftp which you can get here: Alefgard.zip

Ahh, I fondly remember that game. Of course, I played the ROM version with the save button and the walkthrough on a website (Yes, I am a cheater

But still, nothing beat the satisfaction in Dragon Warrior IV of finally defeating the evil guy in his underground fortress of doom. It was an excellent epic.

Thats correct Magnus..........once the world combined hits the limit, another city cannot be built by anyone.......it sucks

edit:where in mass magnus?

Really? Hmmmh, I find that odd... I could almost swear I must've played games with more than 255 or so cities total... But I could be wrong, and if it's a fact, I guess I am.
