Global warming Help

I'm in the middle of a war on game difficulty of King, and the only way for me to take a city is to nuke it and make a paradrop. But the world has heated up twice now, and i need to know how to reverse the process of global warming (with no engineers if possible). And still be able to win the war. Yes I am currently winning the war.


The thing that really sucks is that I once was known as Canute the Ironfist but because of the amount of pollution in my territory I am Canute the Small.
 
There is no way to clean up pollution without Engineers. There is really no way to control the AI, who is also allowing their own pollution to cause global warming.

In short, we were presented with a ruined world with 2000 years worth of nuclear devastation, global warming to the extreme, and two powerful enemy civilizations. Several of us managed to not only win the war in 25 turns or less, but also clean up the majority of the 160+ polluted tiles. That link tells you how.

In short, use spies and howitzers, engineers for railroads. Clean up the pollution when it's safe to do so.

Thanks, I read the link and it has been very useful, i am currently planning an attack on Ngome, the Zulu capital (because Zimbabwe was nuked and conquered so many times it disappeared.)

I did find it ironic that i am the vikings and in the thread he was fighting the vikings.
 
There is really no way to control the AI, who is also allowing their own pollution to cause global warming.
AI civs have PIs (Pollution Icons) but do not cause Skulls from city pop/prod. Nuke explosions (all 3 types) can, though they won't have meltdowns either. PIs are merely indicative of probability of human pollution (skulls).
