God! Please help! Installation problems. Feature transfer error!

I bought this game legally. Everytime I try to install it I'm getting this Feature Transfer error.

Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: Civ4Component
File: D:\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

I'm on a brand new (as in like 2 weeks ago) Dell Inspiron 600m, Intel Pentium M 1.7, 768 MB RAM, 60 GB, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, Windows XP Home.

Please help me fix this.

I'm getting a very similar error when i try to install as well. It happens as soon as i put in the 2nd installation disk.....

An help with this would be appriciated since i'd hate to return the game and get the same error on a differant copy because it was my setup......

BTW my setup is:
Windows XP Pro. w/SP2
Duel Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT SLI
AMD 64 3400+ Processor
Asus A8N SLI Motherboard
1024 RAM
LG DVD+R ROM
200GB SATA HDD

Some early disc releases had the play label on the wrong disc causing confusion on install, maybe that

Usual disc clean, clean drive etc

There have been issues with copy protection for some, and loading up sd4hide has helped some

Other than that, sounds like new discs (there have been a few similar posts like this so you not alone ... )

Meanwhile ...

While waiting for the new discs, download the V1.52 Patch, its a must have, and if its still V1 on the new discs, you will need to patch after install.
