Hello all,

So I currently have civilization V from Aspyr. I also have my game in steam. What I am wondering is if I buy the Gods and Kings map pack, will it be able to connect to my aspyr version? And will my 2011 macbook pro be able to run it? I can easily run Civ 5 on it, and from what I have seen the new pack doesn't bring anything too strenuous on my graphics card. Just wondering if any of you great Civ fans knew the answer to my question, thank you greatly :D

Moderator Action: Moved to the Mac section.

Gods & Kings is more than a map pack, it's an expansion with new civs, new techs, new concepts, etc. ;).
In general: The base game from Steam is compatible with the expansion from Steam.
The base game from the App store is compatible with the expansion from the App store.
They are not compatible between each other.

Performance wise...IIRC there has nothing changed between the expansion and the base game.

When you say Aspyr version, do you mean the Steam version or the Mac App version?

If you have the Mac App version, you'll have to purchase Gods & Kings through the in-app purchase inside the application. If you're running the Steam version, then you'll have to purchase Gods & Kings through Steam. Just like The_J said!

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you guys so much, I did have the steam aspyr version. I bought it last night and played nearly all night. Unreal expansion.
