Goodie Huts

I would tend to think not. Well, maybe on Deity. The AI is actually pretty bad at exploring and I think that on Emperor at least, you can usually profit from it more. Another factor is how crowded the map is. Deity with 22 civs--yeah, you're getting jack from ruins.

The AI starts with more units on Emperor and up, so theoretically it helps them more. As was mentioned above, I do find the AI scouting pattern odd at times...

I would say that Raging Barbarians is much more of a detriment to AI. Sure they're a bit more aggressive towards camps now, but they still have major issues.

On the flip-side, I usually play with Strategic Balance because it helps the AI a lot, especially if their UU requires iron.

1. AI is bad at exploring.
2. Goodie huts provide more bonus to humans (relatively). Because the AI already has huge bonuses elsewhere, a goodie hut means less to them than to us.

I wouldn't really say that AI is always bad at exploring but I often think that they prefer trying to take ruins near other civs, especially yours, yet when you explore territory near civs, I might find a ruin or 2.

Here is a picture of one of my old games. It's t235 and that ruin hasn't been discovered yet.
