This is an alternative to the high-falutin' RD thread on the topic. RD-level posting discouraged, but begrudgingly tolerated in this neck of the woods. One-liners and drinking game reports are more the acceptable norm in this neighborhood. If your gem is not a Red Diamond, don't risk the infraction - post it here to more safely goad for reaction.

Good idea. I think even making an RD thread about American politics is a contradiction in terms.

And as far as tags are concerned, this one is a bit too long. But here goes anyway:

Do you know if there is any way I can follow this debate circus show from Europe (Norway)? It seems it could get rather entertaining. :)
 
Best first impression goes to the dog in the Verizon commercial; reliable, calmly self assured.

Among the candidates I'd say Carly Fiorina would be the best, though her opening remarks may have only been best because at least half the others made a point of talking as crazily as possible. Jingo Bobby Jindal second to her, and also well behind the dog.
 
The gal that ran HP into the ground seems to be the best of this group for this format. The Indian guy better be careful or the others are going to deport him to a call center.
 
I expected the lisping guy from South Carolina to break out into show tunes.

The guy that has the man-on-dog fetish has rolled out this year's 9-9-9 - 20/20.

I noticed that too.

I sort of paid attention at times, but there was far too much swill for me to sit through in real time. I'll read the transcript later.
 
Pataki: Muslims have no right to use the same hate-filled rhetoric as he and Fox News does.

Fiorino: Government incompetence is responsible for every single terrorist attack in the US. American citizens have no rights to keep the government from spying on them even more.

Gilmore: Gorillas are moving to destroy this country.

Santorum: Obama is a law breaker unlike him and the other reactionaries.

Perry: The president's primary job should be to stop every single Latino from invading Texas just like he has done for 14 years.

It should be galling to Republicans that Carly is the voice of sage wisdom.
 
LOL...Fox News is pumping the hell out of Fiorina, and then acting surprised that Fox viewers in their online poll are overwhelmingly picking Fiorina as the winner.
