GOTM 26 results and congratulations

i think we oughtta add a "longest minutes played" award.

The GoTM26 award would go to ub40 at 190 hr, 14 min, and 27 seconds!

I took 53hrs and almost missed submittal, even with the extra 7 days. It would probably take me 3 months to get in 190 hrs. IIRC, someone had over 250hrs in GoTM 24 which blows my mind. I guess some people are serious when they say "24/7".

But no, I don't think we want an award like this.

It was just a good humored, not serious at all, suggestion and i don't want to add any more time to the gotm staff's already busy schedule.

**sacastic voice here** Think of it as a celebration of how the time was spent . 190hrs works out to 6+hrs a day for 30 days! Figure 7hrs for sleep, 9 hours for work/school, and that leaves you 2hrs for useless endevours such as cleaning, cooking, homework/finances, seeing the sun, playing with the kids, etc. The award would celebrate a dedication to the GoTM that leaves little time for anything else (like exercise or showering ).

Thanks I'm curious how many of the top players used the palace rank corruption exploit in this one. (Just want to get a feel on how powerful it was as I've never used it myself).

Yes, of course i'm aware of that. I'm just curious how rampant it had become as the exploit was outlawed while the results for this GoTM were being compiled. I've never tried it and have only read a couple HoF games that have used it. I have no intention on using it (though I will keep my first ring of cities around the FP closer than the first ring around the Palace, so, I guess in a way I will use it).

Getting better every week, or so I think. Gotm 29 is now officially a cake walk. Should be finishing tonight, 140 tiles away in 1500's.

E-mail I can post only from home by dial-up with very bad lines. On the work I have translate programm and can write english and I have inet without E-mail. After month we will have fast internet and normal e-mail adresses. Can we gotm29 submit from one adress last time?

Assura it is very much upset, that she is not present in global rankin on game 26. She has played well gotm26. Whether it is possible though her game to reckon?

I wanted to discuss these things by e-mail, because it is not fair on you or Assura to have this discussion public.

We were concerned that there were two submissions coming from the same e-mail account. When we looked back at other games, we saw that you had both submitted on the same dates, and with similar game styles. We thought it was one person sending in two games, which is against the rules.

I am now reasonably confident that you and assura are in fact two different people, so I will make sure that the results are included, if they meet our other submission criteria.

Please note that we tried to contact you via e-mail about this, and got no reply. We were not banning you, we were just suspending your result until we got this issue cleared-up - it is our normal practice to exclude results until people reply to our e-mails.
