Your city with a size 18 must have been forced by food caravans. I thought this was not legal in GOTM. I know we can't build super cities (size 40+) this way, but I never thought we could build a city this way in GOTM.

I also never thought of building on the tundra next to specials, I'll have to consider that in another game.

Why is this assumed? From what I can tell, he's in a republic, has more happy than content people, and has a positive food surplus, so his city should be growing through WLTLD......?

Yes it is legal, since I changed government to republic 220 ad, I had 30% luxury rate + hanging gardens, so many cities celebrated. I made sure the SSC celebrated all the time (which is why I have entertainers in the last pic.) With trade routes and colussus, it was not hard to maintain the celebration. Smash is usually much faster to get a good SSC than I am. I was thinking of building Shakespear's theatre in this city, but it turned out I didn't have to. All that ocean made me get alot of trade.

Yeah, the tundra-cities were quite good. In the beginning they had about the same production as my other cities, and when they got harbours, they produced alot of money and science while production was stuck at 1-3.

Just because I have never been able to grow a city that fast or long with WLTLD Kand I saw that the city only had 1 food surplus.

Oh well, thats why I am here. To learn new ways to play this game. I am in the 1500s and have almost the same population. Too late to try it this game, but just wait till next month.

1000 ad: Only two new wonder. I have made a mistake again. I have researched techs instead of making money to buy triemes and caravans. I have done little of everything...I never learn. On the positive side, I have some nice cities.

A weird situation has arisen in my game. There are 4 civs left (Zulus, Persians, Greeks and Sioux). They are all restarted civs but the weird thing is that none of these civs has founded a city !! And they've been around for some time, except for the Sioux (I just destroyed the Indians). Perhaps even stranger, the Persians, Greeks and Sioux are all at war against each other !! My next step is to talk to these civs and give them some techs, thus getting them to reveal where they are by exchanging maps.
