And I won by what, 265 years, 53 turns?

As your runner-up in 100k I have to state:
I did not switch to communism for rushing (did I research it at all?). I even testet 'demo-crazy' when I was going to have peace till the end.

I was also (as always) reluctant to make a free palace jump by razing my capital. Maybe because I was also trying for 20k there... (which I canceled due to bad leader luck). That may also have contributed to the great margin of 53 turns. Congrats anyway. As to all submitters.

Doh! I actually finished this game and forgot to submit! Oh well, I had an OCC 20k win in 1953 - terrible luck in the MA. I was not close to a medal and my measley 289 Firaxis score wouldn't have helped my global rankings much so no harm I guess.

I hope you realise that I did not mean to belittle your achievement in any way, I was merely utterly surprised that I was doing so incredibly well in this game. Before trying out Communism, I thought I too was looking at an end date in the 18th century, but since you read my spoiler you've seen what Communism can do for you.
If I hadn't jumped the palace, or used communism, and tried for 20k early on as well, then I seriously doubt I would have beaten you.
All I can say is, go Communist next time.
