Yes it can - the island is continent #1, so black-clicking is useless...

No, it's 50x40.

The 50 is the Latitude, which in Civ is 'doubled' since it counts one latteral move at 'two' shifts in the numbering. And it's only 40 high. Basically a small map, just the numbers flipped.

Black clicking isn't entirely worthless, since you can find the cities.
