The numbers are dwindling somewhat in the Civ3 GOTM competition, but the strength of the competition isn't. An indication of the number in this game is that everyone in the top half of the field got some form of medal or award, and the average number of medals / awards per player for these 7 was over 2!

In this game, no-one managed to crack the 10,000 Jason mark, which is not something that happens very frequently.

In first place, PaperBeetle gained the gold, with his fastest-finish conquest victory. Klarius picked up no less than 4 medals / awards, with his second-place effort, and tao grabbed three awards, one of which was the bronze.

From the spoilers it looks like a few players like myself have returned to the GOTM fold to boost the numbers for next month though.

Oh yes, congrats to all players but especially my SGOTM leader, tao on his first medal.

Yes, I'm a builder at heart.

Thus only lately have I switched towards more aggressive play. And I am still learning a lot .....

I couldn't get my hands on a disc (buying a new one would have been the ultimate humiliation for a civoholist like me) even though I love deity challenges in GOTM. Congratulations to all who pulled off a victory.
