GOTM another level?

Im not ready to try GOTM for the toughest levels

Is it possible to change level and play the game? (editor?)
I want to compare my gameplay with The Grand Master Players of this forum!

I know that i cannot compete in the GOTM.

You can always compete for the red ambulance or the others

I say, give it a go and see what happens. The worst thing that can happen to you, is that you lose. And I think there will be a few losers here this time. Personally I learnt most from those games I lost and I believe there are one or two on this forum that would agree to that. Don't be afraid of losing.

Set up your empire, chose what techs you want and chose wisely, then scout the world and try to trade for missing techs and stuff.

On a level like this, it's good to be meek and give in to demands, that if they can get to you

Play on the Chieftain level and you have 3 curraghs ready to go, plus you have an extra settler there. Read the suggestions some of the good players made already in the discussion thread.

I fully agree with gozpel.

How many players do think are really ready for Sid?
I never thought I could beat Deity, but on a nice GOTM-map it worked. I fully expect a humiliating loss in the Sid-COTM again, but I´m still lokking forward to it.
After all, what do we have to lose?

Back to the Q: Can you change levels on the games?
I never edit anything in Civ3

No, you can not change the level as all the settings are already done and you get the save file at 4000 BC.
Be sure however to download the Conquest class save in order to have the 3 bonus curraghs and the extra settler.
I am sure you could do it, give it a try !
