GOTM for TOT

Would it be possible to start up a GOTM for test of time? I've been reading about it and it sounds really cool but I can't join in because I only have Test of time.

I think it will be possible if you get like 9 other people to participate. If you get 8 I'll be the 9th, I prefer the older Civ versions though.....

Point is: the GOTM for Civ2 has been reduced in size dramatically (18 submissions for GOTM XII so far). A GOTM solely for Test of Time will probably have less than half the number of submissions for the normal Civ2GOTM.

But one thing you might do is start a GOTM for TOT in this very forum. Then everyone can download it and play it as well. Only it's not official...

Last point: I don't have TOT.

If you really want to play the Civ2-GOTM, why don´t you just download the convert patch? It converts your ToT version to Civ2-MGE Gold Edition and you can play the GOTM with Civ2-Gold!
Download from here and follow instructions:
Patch for converting to Civ2-Gold
Be sure to backup your old copy of ToT, though!

I can see that there isn't a lot of interest for TOT GOTM, But I like Matrix's Idea anyway. Even If there is only one other player It would probably be worthwile as I would have at least One person to compare myself to.

Normal Map
6 Civs
Wrath of Gaia
Civilization: Observers
Restart Civ Off

send saved games to Goatman@theunknown.com As the Scifi game can take longer to play, and as I'm expecting so few contestants, I will not be very strict on submission time. sometime before 7/3/02 would be good but I will accept it slightly later.

There are a bunch of aliens on the Apolyton site playing a succession game of SciFi ToT. I've only just seen it but it's been going for over a year!

They´re actualy playing the Extended Original game... If you´re looking for a SciFi game, go to the Civ2 ToT forum. There´s a SciFi succession game going on right there.
For parallel gameplay comparison (i.e. GOTM), CFC is the place to be. For serial gameplay comparison (i.e. succession game), Apolyton is the place to be.

As a side note... Man I only now realise what that Invasion Planet Earth thread is about. I probably ignored it because I only got ToT about 6 months ago.
