GOTM & Graphic Mods

BTS came in the mail today, and I'd like to try playing the GOTM. I can't get the GOTM page to open. Is it permissible to install graphic mods? I do like the look of a couple of them.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the graphics mods cause compatibilty issues with the HoF mod.

BlueMarble is permissible, as it doesn't change any of the XML files, but I'm not sure about anything else(CivScale, which installs with BlueMarble, however, is not able to be used, as it changes XML files and causes the assets check to fail)
