GOTM Newbie: Just realized....

I'm no newbie to Civ, but I've just become addicted to the GOTM series. I was going to submit my first trial, when I realized something when re-reading over a post about submittals.

You're only supposed to submit the first time through playing the game.

I completely understand not being able to re-load from a previous save... but ..... DAMN.... !

Knowing how well some of you do CONSISTENTLY on your first play of a GOTM makes me very humbled. I used to say I was pretty damn good at Civ, but now I have to re-think matters....

Well you have all the best timing as in some hours you will be able to start on COTM4 and just submit that after playing.

Well, that sounds very familliar. I am new to cfc also and tought I was very good at civ before I compared my results in COTM1!

I sometime post my timeline in the spoilers threads and pride myself in including the mistakes I made. It shows I have found ways to improve my game.

Don't worry about not doing as good as the top players. I do not expect to win any award for a long time, even if I think I have a shot at being in the top 20 players for GOTM34.

The results are impressive, considering how much you have to learn through experience.

Replaying is almost reloading w/o random seed preserved, so I hope we never go there.
