Till now , I've seen that the winners of GOTM always go for growth growth growth . Though this might generate higher scores , it isn't that much fun . I think it might be a good idea to try an OCC GOTM to check who is the best ( or luckiest :D ) OCC player around here . Please post your score ( & the savegame ) here , if you're interested .

Hmm I don't think that there will be any question about why will win such a competition.

Smash.

Unless some of the other great OCC players from Apolyton come over and join that months OCC GotM.

"Till now , I've seen that the winners of GOTM always go for growth growth growth." Such is the nature of the beast, LOL... Some suggestions have been floated for alternatives, such an noughmaster's 10-city variant.

BTW, Smash actaully did plan an OCC GOTM the month before I joined CivFanatics (GOTM 4, I think).

several months ago, I've played about 3 OCC games informally (I'm not an Apolyton member) and compared my results to others at Apolyton ... They are indeed good at OCC! Shadowdale is probably right, but I'd be willing to have a go next week.

I've played thru 1 AD in the "normal" GOTM style already, but when I get the time to finish the "normal" GOTM soon, I'll have a shot at the OCC for fun.

OCCs go quick... you might have enough time for an OCC too, Shadowdale :).

BTW, people should make a timeline in a text file and post it here too, or zip & post it :).

Another way to get a higher score may be to have a competition as to who has the smaller city , as compared to the others . Then one method of scoring could be (possible city size - actual city size ) * 100 + ( years left ) * 200 + ( structurals ) * 10 + ( components ) * 20 + ( modules ) * 40 = OCC GOTM Score
