Govermentswitching without anarchy?

Does anyone know how to change the number of turns for anarchy if u switch goverments?5 turns is way to long

You could change the default government (the one it uses for between gov't rules) to Despotism or some such rather than anarchy.

What I do to get ride of that nasty anarchy is choose a Civilization that has a religious trait, such as the Aztecs or the whatevers. I suppose you can change the number of turns anarchy takes by looking into the Civ3Edit and changing it. Though I don't know if this'd work. The only way I know of getting rid of the anarchy is to play a civ that's religious.
