Our last elections left a few positions empty. We need people to fill the following positions.
  • Judge Advocate
  • Southwest Governor
  • Montis Abeo Gramen Governor
Note: The appointed Governor of the Wine and Dine Province would not have the honor of giving the province a permanent name.

Please apply for these positions in this thread. Once we have applicants for each position, Donavon and I will discuss whom to appoint.

Thanks.

It appears I have been copying and pasting too much...

We cannot appoint a governor for the Wine & Dine Province. Our laws stipulate that any province with one active city will has a gubenatorial position to be decided at elections. However, there is only ONE city, wheras three active cities are required for a Presidential appointment.

Sorry to potential applicants.

Note: The city of Karachi will be placed under Domestic Dept. control.

Fionn McCumhall expressed interest in the JA position in the Intreim Results thread of the Main Forum, but he should say here to confirm he is applying.

I hear around the way that a judiciary background helps to win elections.... :D

With that in mind, I would like to put myself in the running for Judge Advocate.

Not so, Mr. President. Wine & Dine is an official and active province so should have a governor appointed. The rule you refer to concerns when a province can be considered active mid term.

My interpretation was that the president was only given the authority to appoint a governor when a province has three cities. That clause (CoL D.1.F.1) mentions nothing of the province being active.

COL H.1.A.1 applies here as the province is already active, having passed through an election process with at least 1 city.

H..Appointed Positions

..1..Leaders in Executive, Judiciary and Provincial Government (office vacant mid-term or not filled during elections)

....a..Deputy is promoted to Leader. If there is no Deputy then:

......1)..Appointed by President.

Then, I will concede the point...

I have already been privately contacted by ikey about the governorship of the Win & Dine Province. If there are any other applicants, please post in this thread.

I will hold off on a new confirmation council vote, so the appointment will remain unofficial. Veera has been absent for a while, so I may have to boot her here soon. GM, her deputy, will likely decline New Japan's governor's mansion to remain in domestic, so a new appointment is needed.

I have contacted donsig about this new job...

Where is Donsig?
