Graduating from vanilla Civ

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I have been playing vanilla civ up to now and want to move on.

Question is, should I get both PTW and C3C or should I just move onto C3C. Are PTW and C3C even compatible or do you have to use one or the other?

Just get c3c. It comes with ptw stuff and more

Yes, C3C comes with PTW. Wish I knew this before buying PTW standalone... but then, I would never have known it, since I bought PTW when it was first released...
