Graphics Probs - Warriors in Triplets, etc.

Long story -short... I've had recent problems with Civ IV, causing a computer crash after 5 turns or less... I took it to a tech store, they serviced it, reinstalled Civ, said all was working well again. Now I want to play.

I open Civ, click play, and the first screen shows a settler in quadruplicate and a warrior in triplicate.

I uninstalled then reinstalled Civ - same problem.

I had this problem before once, long ago. I forget what the remedy is. HELP!!!

You need to select single unit graphics in the options if you want only one to appear.

I see that now, thanks, and single unit graphics WAS checked. So that's not it. Any other ideas?

You have to restart the game for that setting to take effect. Try removing the check and restarting (should get multiple unit graphics), then remove the check and restart, it will be interesting if you then get single unit or it still givesd multi units.

Yo! It worked! I'm no longer seeing double-triple-quadruple! Thanks for the help!
