Grassland and Iggration prombelm

I have civ 3 complete.

When ever I try to iggrate a grassland it ends up giveing me extra money for the space instead of food but when theres something like cattle on it it works fine. is this a glitch or is that suppose to happen? if its a glitch did they make a patch to fix it?

I just have the out of the box set up but I'll try the lastest patch.

Complete should be fully patched out of the box.

Are you still in Despotism? There is a penalty while in Despotism that reduces a tile's output by one if it will produce over 2. So if you irrigate a grassland tile, it goes from 2 food to 3. The Despotism penalty reduces that by one, so you only see 2 food, just like if it wasn't irrigated.

Really I didn't know that. What other tile plentalys are there for despotion.

Woops, didn't see you said Civ3 Complete, my bad.

In Despotism, the tile penalty is simply any tile that produces 3 or more of food/shields/gold on a tile will produce one less. A tile with 2 food will produce 2 food, but if it really has 4 food, it'll only get 3 food from it.
