What do you guys think of a mod which adds a great engineer who has like 3 charges to dig away ground tiles to make a nice canal? If you are interested in it, I could maybe look into making such a mod.

Is terraforming possible? It definitely wasn't in Civ5.

I haven't played with this tool, does it update the terrain real-time? Cause it was possible to change terrain in Civ5 (like removing a mountain or making coast into land or land into coast), as proven by the InGameEditor mod, however the graphic engine would not update the map in real-time, so your new land would still look like coast until you quit and reload the game. Not very convenient.

As for the Engineer himself, i would rather have a canal improvement allowing boats to move between bodies of water than actually turning an entire tile into water.

I like the idea, I usually use cities on one hex wide straights to make canals between oceans, it's such a great advantage.
I would like it if those tiles get a whopping and insane 5 gold modifier due to the nature of canals.
That engineer should also be expensive, even reduce population on the nearest city, but I think i'm just too crazy and like if things make you suffer for it.

Yeah i love that idea. If you can figure out how to force the map to update graphics im excited!
