I just got the game, it refuses to load, and my TechTree is in French. Did they even bother to test it on some of the higher end ATI graphics cards?

Yes, they did. However there may be issues with old graphics drivers, and people not installing the version of DirectX 9.0c that shipd with the game (has some extra files over and above teh standard DX 9 install).

I have a Radeon 9700 PRO and my game runs like a charm. Here are my specs...
AMD 2700
1 Gig of Memory
Sound Blaster Live
ASUS MB

I know this is not a solution but I just want to give those with issues a little hope that it will work. Let me know if there is any other info anyone needs about my CPU and I will post.

I have an x800 card which I bought a month ago, and 5.10. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, and reinstalled DriectX 9.0c and still the same thing. It flickers between Fullscreen and the desktop while loading, then displays the failed to initialize renderer message.

And needless to say, my tech tree is still in French.
