I noticed that despite hero promotion adventurers unlike other "normal" heroes tend to defend a stack even when tey are not the strongest unit in it. That kind of sucks and underhands Grigori as a civilization imho. kind of Auric Ascended complex I believe.
Was it intended so?
Shouldn't hero promotion maka a unit less likely to defend a stack?
Do drill promos affect chances to defend a stack?

Just a couple of questions i have...

Hero promotion doesn't affect stack defence odds.
Being a world unit drastically drops your strength when calculating stack defender, so Grigori adventurers are a lot more likely to defend a stack than the (world unit)heroes of other civs.
Units with channelling count as a lower strength when determining stack defence, units with Guardsman promo count as higher.
A hero still won't defend a stack unless they are counted as the strongest units in it. If they're rocking a load of promotions they might count as that even when quite banged up. Promotions like drill do indeed figure into the calculation for stack defender.
