grrrr what is wrong with my internet setting!!!

I installed norton AntiVirus and I think I messed up my connection with Internet Explorer in the process. I have DSL and I think I configured something wrong. It now detects proxy settings everytime it loads a new page with internet explorer and it takes forever!!

Go to "Tools" --> "Internet Options" --> "Connections" --> "LAN Settings" --> Check "Automatically Detect Settings" and uncheck everything else. This will be faster (And is standard) but has less security.

That's the way is is now. It must be something else.

It's really strange. It takes forever to load pictures when i refressh but the first time it doesn't take as long.

This is driving me nuts!

I went to tools -> internet options -> clicked the advanced tab -> and checked the box for enable HTTP 1.1 through proxy settings.

It doesn't say that it is detecting proxy settings anymore and it is lightning fast now <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/avatar.gif" border=0>
