Been playing this game a few days know and it is great.

Very much a GTA meets the old west.Free roaming stuff.

Some of the stuff you can do:

Bounty hunt(2 different ways-wanted posters and federal marshall side mission)
Deputy towns(uphold the law)
Pony Express(similair to delivery missions in GTA)
Hold em Poker
Ranch hand-pretty neat, herding cattle and whatnot
Hunting..yup..hunting.The Gray wolf, the white buffalo etc.Hunt them with a bow you do...oops starting to talk like Yoda..
Scalping-I know, not PC, but mega fun
Mine gold-similiar to hidden packages of GTA

Main storyline missions really give a feel of a movie.

You have a variety of weapons.Your trusty side arm of course along with rifles, shotguns,Sniper rifles, knives, axes, bows, firebombs,TNT etc.

One of the funnest parts is traveling on horseback. You can go pretty much anywhere. The physics are great. You can gallop, trot, jump over fences and stuff.Shooting from the saddle is very well done and fairly easy to master

The music is this game is fantastic.Absolutely perfect for this era.Its very much like what you hear on the HBO series Deadwood.

If you like the old west or even didn't hate Red Dead Revolver, you gotta give this game a rent at least. Its a touch short(if you power thru the main story missions) but I see lots of replayabilty

One other note-This game has some affiliation with lastcallpoker which is the most bizarre poker site I have come across.

Secrets of the game have been revealed at this site. The site will phone you with bizarre messages(if you give your phone # that is). You'll also get wierd e-mails messages. They list your date and cause of death!

They even play poker in graveyards?!

Very strange.

Gun is a pretty awesome game. And it's pretty easy for a first time console shooter such as myself to get into. I was kind of sceptical as I'm more of a guy that likes to use the mouse for pc shooting and I really haven't bought a console game with a structured story ever. But again it's easy to get into and the quickshot feature helps me a lot. It's pretty satisfying killing 5 renegades in slow motion. Plus I love the freeroaming. I pretty much love any game that will let me freeroam around a full 3D environment. Like Mafia and the GTA3 series. Both were awesome in letting me drive around at my own leisure and without having to do missions, with some side missions to do. I also appreciate Gun's brutal honesty in its depiction of the wild west. Chinese slaves/workers, bandits, limbs being blown off, heads exploding, blood, betrayal, greed. Everything the wild west is.

I havn't had this much fun with a game since Shadow of Rome last summer.

You know that feeling.Where ya can't wait to finish work/school to get home and start playing....

Yes this game is too short. Not because there isn't enough to do but because you don't want it to end

I love this game.I hope they make sequels..if you look at the growth/improvements from GTA3>GTA:SA,I can just imagine how great this game could get down the line.

Now I gotta get heading to Dodge.Got me a safe cracker to liberate :D

Wow, Gun sounds like a really cool game!

I've bought so many PS2/PSP games this past month that I don't know if I have the time to add this one to my collection. GTA meets Wild West, hmmm maybe I just have to get it!

Games I bought this past month. PC: Civ4

PS2: The Warriors, Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life Special Edition, Colosseum Road to Freedom

PSP: GTA Liberty Stories

I finished the game and I can say that my only regrets are that it's too short and the landscape you can free-roam in is too small. I would like for it to be San Andreas big, but it doesn't even feel Liberty City big.

I agree with you.

Still, a great first effort by Neversoft.Lets hope there are sequels.Bigger and better.

This game was rushed(aren't they all these days?).You can see that in the credits where a nightshift and a third shift are credited.Gotta a feeling much of what was intended was not given enough time to complete/perfect.

Like all those train tracks and nary a train?..WTH does scalping actually do?...I'd be interested in poking around the PC version to see what unused files might be lurking....
