Any specific reason Guybrush costs as many hammers as e.g. Abashi the Black Dragon (360), which is about twice as many as heroes from equivalent tech levels, e.g. Maros?

He can sing!

if the AI knew how to build boats, he would be uber powerful

If he captures a boat, does he get the fireball mages that were on it and should have sunk him before he got in range anyway? Capturing enemy boats that have already reached your shore hardly seems useful.

I'm pretty sure that the units in the ship are killed when Guybrush (or any other unit with boarding party) captures a ship. Of course, arcane barges can still be captured, and I think that unit with waterwalking (even if loaded in the ship) will fight to defend themselves.

You could put Guybrush on a boat and capture boats in enemy territory.

Hmm...how about making a Lanun-only, unitcombat_naval only a spell that lets them sell captured boats away to other pirates to gain gold? And maybe turning the ship barbarian instead of just deleting it. I may add this to my modmod.

No, because lanun ships have much more movement than a fireball

I was thinking simultaneous turns (MP). And I was also considering that the non-lanun ships have some movement of their own plus the fireball range.

Of course playing against AI you don't have to worry about fireballs.

It has been stated that this game is not designed to be used with simultaneous turns, and it won't be balanced for this or other non-standard options (like unrestricted leaders, no barbs...)

the presence of simultaneous turns is why I play civ for MP and not heroes of might and magic.

I think simultaneous turns often takes away from strategy/gameplay determining who wins. A 1-2 hour game can be decided by who clicks first on a single turn*. I wish more people played MP without simultaneous, but I understand the time problems with doing so.

* When this happens, my friend and I often reload/rehost and see what happens depending on who moves first. When no matter who moves first, the same person wins - that's a real strategy/gameplay victory.

Guybrush is a GREAT unit as are Boarding Parties. Whenever I play I like to capture Sailors Dirge if possible using Guy and a Declared Black Wind.

is it possible to have it so that when Guybrush attacks you can hear him insult his opponent? or perhaps add LeChuck to the game as a barbarian unit created by an event that only Guybrush can get? because then i wouldnt care how much it took to build him
