hacked editor cannot add/delete eras

i need to get rid of the modern era and the new hacked editor by jimmyh does not let you delete era's

The editor doesn't let you do that because the game is hard-coded to have exactly four eras. Maybe you could rename the eras, basically creating another one, so that there are still four, but it ends in, say, the industrial era. Keep in mind that it's a lot of work to do that because you have to edit splash screens, techs, etc. as well.

You can effectively get rid of the modern era by setting all the Modern era technologies to Era: None. Then, when the industrial era is finished, you will go straight to future technology.

in the old editor before the new patch i could get rid of an era.

i deleted the modern age so there would only be 3 ages in my lotr mod.

now that i'm remaking it for the new patch, i cannot. if it was hardcoded i wouldn't be able to do it before, right?
