Had it up to here with the respawning!

Just playing a game with lots of other civs including the %^*$ Zulus. I left his Shaka-ness well alone until he started to piss me off by continuously coming into my lands. Ecen when I repeatedly asked him to leave.

At first he would come in with a settler, then after the 10th time he started with military units. I was going for peaceful strategy so I didn't want to kick his ass. Zulus were confined and it suited me just fine.

But noooooo, he had to go and make me angry. So I wiped him off the face of the earth......

.....only for the AI to reincarnate him on a distant shore.

This was 1475 AD !!!!!

what the hell is up with the respawning!?!?!

some were saying that it was if you killed off a civ early on. Well it is apparently not so.

The AI will just bring em back if it feels like it.

If you havent explored all of the major lands and you wipe out an AI they autmoatically "respawn". This is good as it prevents rushing. If you didnt have the map explored by 1495 it serves you right.

But what threat is a new CIV when it's almost 1500?

The way the AI goes after territory now is quite annoying. After you tell them leave several times, they'll always declare war on you.
