Hall of Fame for the Conquests

Interesting question, and it seems logical given that the Conquests were official.

Then again, I find myself wanting to say no, since I've a sincere distaste for scenarios and mods.

I think that'll be the common opinion here. But I do like the scenarios of Conquests and would like to see how others are doing.

......it would be GREAT to have an "HOF" for C3C Scenarios. :goodjob:

In fact, as a learning tool, I'd throw in the GOTMs and other "acceptable" scenarios as well.....except with NO time Limit AND Game Replays allowed. ;)

This would compare Apples to Apples and be a PROVEN way of determining a BETTER way to play a start position.......BIG, BIG, education tool.

It is true that you theoretically could play the same game over and over (NOT me though!)........BUT, why not if that's the Rule?.......EVEN the Player would learn from his mistakes!?

Unfortunately, this idea is INconsistent with the current Rules of HOF.......AND the Bottom Line with me is to NOT compromise what we have now.

So, it would have to be called something else.........

Perhaps there is a retired GOTM Administrator that would offer to run something along these lines!?

IT WOULD BE MOST INTERESTING & EDUCATIONAL! :)

Hm. Rules about replaying will be more subtle. Of course, one should be allowed to play the same scenarios more than once - that's the whole idea about a scenario :crazyeye: - also as the same Civ. But we should disallow reloading the game while playing.

The 'officials' don't wish to spend time on this? I for one don't have the time unfortunately. :undecide: At least, not when I need to check the validity of the savegames as well. (The one thing that scared me away as GOTM admin. ;))

Would a C3C scenario HOF have to be a part of this one? Could it maybe not be another forum?
