Hi,
I play Civ quite a lot. Not excellently, but adequately to win consistently on all levels up to King, and occasionally on Emporer. My girlfriend has only played two games in her life, and we want to play multiplayer.
We used to play Dune 2000 multiplayer, and that was quite good - you can 'handicap' the experienced players by changing a setting, so that units and buildings cost more.
We are trying to enforce handicapping in Civ by not allowing me to build any wonders, but this is not overly satisfactory. Anybody got any other suggestions? And are they building a 'handicapping' option into Civ3 multiplayer (when they finally release the multiplayer patch?).
P.S. the other good thing about dune 2000 was that you only needed one CD for a multiplayer game. Good thing that Civ 2 allows one Civ 2 MPG CD and one 'normal' Civ2 CD. Will you need two CDs for Civ3 multiplayer?
Cheers,
Andrew
