Happiness button in City windows

What does the Happiness at the bottom of your city window mean? I cant understand what its trying to show. The Happiness button I mean is the one which is with Production, Military, HAPPINESS, Map

If I know the one you're talking about, it shows your city's base mood, the effect of luxuries, the effect of improvements, the effect of wonders, and the effect of entertainers on the moods of your citizens. I guess it lets you know what would happen if you put those entertainers back to work...seems kinda useless, but that's all I know about it.

ok thanks, its just i dont know how to comprehend the diagram? it usually has around 4 rows of citizen bodies with some unhappy ones. but the Real citizen diagram theres no unhappy, so whats it showing exactly? theres city improvement diagrams on the right.
