happy citizens or scientist

the govenor selects entertainers when i have unhappy laborers
Why not scientist or tax collectors?
I dont need an entertainer just to make 1 happy person, or do I?
The only thing that I found for having happy citizens
is for your score. any other reason?
-of course if i have more happy than content is a good reason.

i turned of govenor for now
cause i really dont care about
a couple happy people, while instead
i could collect 3 beakers from a scientist. or -

does that one happy person make a difference?

True: We Love the King days, or Civil Disorder are the only two reasons to care about happiness (all that matters is which of the three categories the city is in WLTKD, Stable, or Disorder) other than victory points

The Governor is working more from a general rule which is why it is more efficient (in game terms much less efficient in RL) to have it off.

The governor haves a first prority saying that the people must be happy. If your metropolises grow large enough though the governor will begin to make tax collectors or scientists. But it is much more efficient to do it yourself.
