Hardcopy (DVD) Version

Hi there,

due to my limited bandwith I'm going to preorder my hardcopy from amazon i/o downloading from steam. I have two questions and hope that somebody from the States cloud give me short reply.

1) is there really an additional download necessary once the hardcopy version is installed on my system ? If so, how huge is the download ?

2) is it necessary to insert the DVD for playing ? My DVD drive sounds like a buzz saw...

You can install everything from the hard copy, but there might appear some patches in the next days.

And the DVD is not needed to play.

I installed via DVD with the North American version.

I was aware of no download and the disk is not required to play.

Just be aware

that several people have seen issues where the game wouldnt install from physical media even when present and thus forcing you to download the whole 3GB install

If that happens, as it does for me, cancel the download and restart the installation from your DVD drive. If it still won't install from DVD, you may need to delete any local content via steam.
