Sorry if I'm being dense. I started .30 for the first time. I looked up my leader in the Civiliopedia, and I saw 'Favorite Wonder'. Can you tell me how it works? Is it just a diplo modifier like favorite civic?

When I got the blight (I think that's what its called, whentthe Arm Coutner gets to 40) it used to wipe out improvements. Now, it seems to wipe out resources itself, especially health resources. I lost a banana, deer, etc.

While I'm here, is there a detailed description of when you cast world spells/when they are available?

Thanks,

Breunor

The favorite wonder mechanic was already in Fire, maybe even in Light.

I don't think there's a list yet for the requirements of the World Spells.
Kael did post what they do, though, in the "Design: World Spells" thread.

Sorry to post again here, but since the FFH Wiki is down, is there somewhere I can look to see the impacts of Armageddon Coutner at various level and what the effects are?

Any help is appreciated! :-)

This is not 100% correct, but from my mind:
40-Blight
60-62-64-66 - 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse enter the world
75? - Hellfire starts to spawn
90 - Avatar of Wratih
100 - Armagedon

Also, I think AC needs to be at least 30 for hell to spread into Non-AV, evil lands, and 50 to spread into neutral lands. And Higher AC boosts Sheaim planar gates.

Hellfire starts to spawn with Hyborim entering the world. I also remember that one of the horsemen spreads hell terrain.

Wrath, you confuse Hellfire (terrain plots features from where infernal units spawn) with Hell terrain.

Hell terrain is what starts spreading after Hyborem entering the world. Hellfire is a terrain feature that appears at random spots at a certain value of the AC and spawn demons.

Thanks for all fo these answers!

But I'm going to ask for more help! Can somebody post what these effects DO!

For instance, what are the effects of blight? Of armageddon? When the horsemen come, what are they (barbarian units)?

Thanks again,

Breunor

Blight- changes some (around 10%) plains into deserts, grasslands to plains, destroys all farms and pastures, every food resource has 25% chance of disappearing.

Horsemen are barbarian heroes, you can see them in civilopedia. (Ars Moriendi, Yersinia, Buboes, and I can't remember fourth)

Armageddon kills 60% of world units and city pop. (Note than units that are not alive, such as Golems, Undead, Demons.. are immune to this.)

Hellfires are like burrows, they spawn Infernal units on them. I think that, even though spawned units are Infernal unique units, like Hunting Demon, spawned units belong to barbarians.

Avatar of Wratih is a powerful barbarian avatar, and he also converts part of living world units to his cause, they become barbarians. This is a rather nasty effect, though, again, units that are not alive are immune to this.

I'm pretty sure that the units spawned in hellfire belong to the Infernals if they are currently in the game, and t the barbarian state otherwise.

Before BtS, non-living units were immune to turning barb during Wrath. In .25, no one was immune (even angels). In Shadow, it has been switched from making random units dies and turn barbarian to giving the Enraged promotion to all units.
Spoiler :
26. Wrath Unleashed event applies the enraged promotion to units instead on instantly converting them to barbarians (use them or lose them).
27. If you scrap units with a chance to become barbarian they become barbarians.

I always get a message with narrative when the counter hits 10, but I have been unable to determine what, if anything, actually happens when the counter hits 10?

Also, I've seen two other things happen when the counter hits 70:

1. If Hyborem is in the game those rat holes will appear allover the map with Sects of Flies on them. I guess those are the Hellfire tiles. If he is not in the game, those tiles will appear, but with barbarian Sects of Flies on them. I'm not sure, but they seem like ways for Infernal or barb units to move around the map quickly???

2. The other thing I've seen in some games is if Hyborem has been killed off, when the counter hits 70 he will reappear with the same score he had when he was killed with a few units, but not necessarily a city. Kill him again, though, and that is it for him. I never understood this game dynamic.

before BTS, while dying, each horsmen left a specifique mana node.

killing one of them is therefore advantageous, but they are quite strong, being demons and all.
(try not to kill them over ressources :))

I'm not sure it transfered in the BTS fire and shadow versions

"edit : those ratholes are hellfire...; they are not gates to move units around, but portal that spawn demons, if hyborme is in game, those units are infernals, if he is not here, the units are barbs."
