Have a Slight Problem

I have recently been playing the mod, Rise and Rule. I had changed some things in the game and now just realized a mistake that I have made. Originally, I made all Mountains and Marshlands impassible to Wheeled units without a road. Mountains, Marsh, Tundra and Desert cannot be settled. Almost all units (except for Barb Raiders, most Settler/Worker units and some special units such as Commandos) are Wheeled in the mod.

However, I have now found a problem. Most of the transport ships (up to the most advanced in the game, the assault transport) can only carry foot units - since I changed almost all units to wheeled, that prevents the loading of troops onto transports in the game until well into the last tech era.

Is there anything I can do to fix this..other than restarting my games I am currently playing? Can you go into the .biq file and make the necessary, or will a game save use the original info of the .biq file?
 
I am pretty sure it would not work on an old save. If the rules changes, they are in the save. To be sure, check on the Creation forum. They are more familiar with the editor.

That sucks...I wish I would have foreseen that problem. Unless I fix the problem, the game will be screwed up something fierce. With no ability to transport most of the units in the game, island-based civs will have no chance to expand...in addition to not allowing invasions onto other continents of island until very late into the game.

When you correct the problem, what you might want to consider is having two types of transports, one for foot units and one for wheeled units for each era, and give the transport for wheeled unit only half the capacity of the one for foot units. This would be pretty accurate to reality, as any kind of unit on wheels, be it animal or mechanically powered takes up about twice as much shipping space as foot units. That would allow for expansion of island empires but slow it down a bit.
