Have I patched to 3.19?

I've got a Gold Edition (vanilla, Warlord and BtS) running on my Vista laptop. I'm just finishing my first vanilla game, thought I'd upgrade BtS before starting my second game. The install from DVD is 3.13. So I used the in-game check for upgrade and allowed it to upgrade to 3.19. The download went fine, when it was finished it said Click Exit to Complete, so I did. I fired up BtS again, no particular evidence of change. Still works fine, but the About page still says 313. I neglected to check what was in BtS mods before downloading.

Has it worked, but 3.19 doesn't update the About page? Is there a particular feature, file (or file contents) I should check for? Where did the download go, anyway? I'm not much of a windows user (bring back C:\8.3, says I), so I don't know where to look for whatever has been downloaded.. Though Rhye's and Fall, Age of Ice and a pile of other mods are there.. were they there in 3.13?

If it hasn't worked, is there a way to use whatever I downloaded to upgrade, or do I have to download again? And if I do, is it better that I download from civfanatics, or the firaxis site?

Would bumping be appropriate?
I just want to know if, after I upgrade to BtS 3.19, will the About This Installation page say 3.19? And if not, how do I tell if the upgrade succeeded?

I can't remember where, but seem to remember reading that the in-game patch does not work for 3.19. You have to download and run the patch outside of the game.

Should be able to this evening, unless RL takes over (it just eats into my game time all the time, dangnabit). And I'll try downloading / installing the patch manually too, since I used the in-game upgrade method first time.

I know that the About this Build screen didn't change from how it was before the attempted upgrade. I did make a note of the values for this reason.

3.19 should be sufficient - but installing them in order won't do any harm (except taking longer)

I read that in Lemon's Vista Guide, both in the post titled "The Civ/Vista Survival Guide - Section 3", sections 7 and 8, and in the post titled "The Civ/Vista Survival Guide - Section 5".

I only had time to upgrade to 3.17 last night, but it worked a treat. Two more big downloads (I'm doing all this mostly for FfH2) and I'm done!

3.17 and 3.19 applied in order worked 100%. Ffh2, here I come!
