Have sound no picture

Just tried installing CIV 4 on a hand me down laptop. It loaded fine but when I tried to run it it brought up the initialization screen and that was it I could hear the opening music playing I even hit enter a few times when I loaded vanilla and I could hear Leonard Nemoy talking so apparently its running it just won't display the video. Just wondering if anyone might have some suggestions. Thanks

with 32MB your graphics card is below the minimum specs:

Video:
DirectX 9.0c-compatible 64 MB video card with Hardware T&L support ( GeForce 2/Radeon 7500 or better)

that said: your graphics driver is ancient - try this one (still but 3 years younger):

it is possible that you need to look on dell's homepage for that driver.

Didn't really work I think I'm gonna just stick to email/CFC on this computer. Maybe a little Civ 3 until I can upgrade. Thanks for the help though
