Have you noticed that BioWare reuses all their character archetypes?

so, Bioware dumbing down their games for different markets is MY problem?

I've got a laptop, which is good for games like Civ, and cannot afford a gaming rig.

No, it's our (PC Gamers) problem. You ARE the problem .

... you could have bought a Gaming PC instead of a console, seriously mine cost £250 and will be good for at least a couple of years (plus, it doubles as a PC.)

Mass Effect 2 is a huge improvement ^_^ No feeling of dumbing down for the consoles!

Except the utterly pointless and outdated (and useless) splash screen that asks you to press any button.

Seriously, what is the point of those screens? I have never understood them, why doesn't it just take you to the main menu?

Ahhh mass effect. Was looking forward to it for a long time... but now that it is here I am too taken with civ to bother.

Will surely get it in a few weeks / months though.

Archetypes are reused by definition.

It'd actually be good if they designed more detailed characters.
