I just pre-ordered on EBgames, first time I ever pre-ordered a game but I thought why not, its $60 with tax and shipping thats real cheap entertainment when you consider ($-Cost/Hrs-Time spent playing) and I wanted to ensure that I would get the bonus materials!

But I thought select retailers would have limited quantities of the special edition, or an I wrong?

Nope.

I'm not too impressed with the bonus stuff (ie. I can live without it). Perheps I reserve a copy, but may be I'll just wait a few weeks and check out all the reactions.

For EB you do not pay until it ships or you pick up. All you really do is reserve a copy - and you get the bonus materials. I have mine shipped to the store since they tend to receive before I would around here anyway. I was one of the first to get my hands on Civ III Vanilla, PTW, and Conquests. And I WILL be the first to have Civ IV running on my machine !

I'm ordering just for the 255 page spiral bound manual, i cant play civ at work so i bring manuals and print out info. from the internet for reading on break, need to plan for that nights online attack of my co-workers!......
